Story

There is a remote village Surampally in the interiors of Telangana. There is a major landlord called Pedda Dora, who occupies the lands of village men (who mostly belong to Dalit and artisan community) through various means, as they are uneducated. Pedda Dora has a dominating wife 'Dorasari' (Telangana Sakuntala), who is far aggressive. This couple gets the entire village into their grip and treats them as slaves.
Bheemudu (Narayana Murthy) is a trusted servant of Pedda Dora family. Bheemudu is very loyal to that family, as Pedda Dora helped the orphan Bheemudu by giving him work. Malla Reddy (Narra Venkateswara Rao) is a comrade who lost his leg in Telangana Armed Movement (Telangana Sayudha Poratam). He becomes to the mentor to the Dalits in village and starts a movement.
At the time of Surpanch elections, Malla Reddy proposes 'Madiga Krishna', who belong to Madiga community as the candidate. The entire village supports this decision. Then Pedda Dora cleverly plays his cards by proposing Bheemudu, who belong to Mala community, as his candidate. This results in splits of votes because the entire village split into two groups based on their community. Bheemudu is elected as the Surpanch. Pedda Dora promises Bheemudu that he would marry of his youngest son to Chandramma, the sister of Bheemudu as they love each other. Pedda Dora makes Bheemudu sign on three blank cheques. Pedda Dora encashes 50 lakhs of village money through those cheques and make Bheemudu the culprit. Pedda Dora cancels the marriage as well. The petrified Bheemudu kills the elder son of Pedda Dora and become a naxalite.
Bheemudu, with the guidance of Malla Reddy, starts attacking Pedda Dora family. Pedda Dora gets a police officer (Ravi Shankar) to eliminate Bheemudu. That police officer gets a whole battalion of CRPF along with him. He also recruits the local men to comb the hills and jungles. The youngest son of Pedda Dora turns the black sheep and starts informing the movements of Bheemudu to Pedda Dora. How Bheemudu with the help of local men gets the land back forms the rest of story.
